Carefully state the following theorems (you need not prove them):

1. Theorem characterizing internal direct products (Lemma 37.5 in the text).

   Suppose $H,K$ are bot normal subgroups of $G$,and $H\wedge K =\{e\}$. Then $H$ and $K$ are commuting subgroups.

Solve the following problems:

1. Section 37, problems 3(a-f), 3(h-j), 5, and 7.
